I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love the possibility hiding in colors and clay. Doodling, drawing, building, carving – I knew I found myself when I first touched clay. Over two decades later, I am still as captivated by clay as I was when I first started. I’ve spent hours perfecting my technical skills, from sketching to memorizing anatomy, perfecting the silhouettes of pots on the wheel and models in my sculpture, and learning a certain kind of chemistry in how to mix the perfect colors and glazes. I bring this all to you in my work and in teaching my students at Callenwolde.
